Generators from Polish foundation to support stable operation of social services

Caring for people and assisting those in need is the top priority for the city’s social services. Thanks to new support, specialists will now be able to provide help even during emergency and scheduled power outages.

Recently, the city’s Department of Social Protection received generators to ensure uninterrupted operation of reception offices in two remote city districts. This crucial assistance was provided by the Fundacja Via Stella (Poland). It marks the third time the organization has supported Zaporizhzhia by donating aid to hospitals and critical services.

The Department of Social Protection emphasizes that the generators will enable specialists to continue processing social payments and assistance, maintain access to essential databases, and stay connected with government agencies and citizens.

Every day, the city’s social services assist vulnerable residents, including the elderly, people with disabilities, families with children, and internally displaced persons. Power outages disrupt the work of reception offices, preventing people from receiving necessary payments and support.

“Today, the stable operation of social services is essential to ensuring continuous assistance for those in need. These generators are more than just technical equipment—they are a lifeline for our departments, which serve hundreds of citizens daily. We are sincerely grateful for this contribution to the well-being of Zaporizhzhia residents and for the support that allows us to work seamlessly, even under the most challenging conditions,” said Oleksiy Kravets, Head of the Department of Social Protection in the Zavodsky District.

The Department of Social Protection of the Zaporizhzhia City Council and the City Development Institute of Zaporizhzhia extend their sincere gratitude to their partners for this timely and invaluable assistance.
