Zaporizhzhia receives life-saving support from Polish partners

The Via Stella Foundation has donated a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter ambulance to medical professionals in Zaporizhzhia, which has now joined the fleet of City Hospital No. 8.

The ambulance is fully equipped to handle emergencies and provide immediate medical assistance. It includes a mobile respirator, a defibrillator, an orthopedic stretcher, a medical refrigerator, and a comprehensive set of medical supplies.

The City Development Institute of Zaporizhzhia facilitated communication with Polish partners and coordinated the vehicle’s transfer. And drivers from City Hospital No. 8 ensured its safe transportation from Lublin to Zaporizhzhia.

This is not the first time the Via Stella Foundation has supported Zaporizhzhia. Earlier this year, the organization donated three powerful generators to the city’s Points of Invincibility. Given the ongoing power outages caused by relentless shelling of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, such equipment remains in high demand. The foundation plans to deliver five more generators for emergency services and social workers in the near future.

The Via Stella Foundation was established by representatives of Polish and American credit unions to assist those in crisis caused by unforeseen events. Its primary mission is to aid individuals affected by the war in Ukraine. Strengthening hospitals and providing medical transport are among its top priorities.

We sincerely thank all partners and benefactors whose support continues to bolster healthcare in Zaporizhzhia in these challenging times.
