German-Ukrainian municipal partnerships for recovery of Zaporizhzhia
On September 12, Zaporizhzhia participated in a video meeting of the German-Ukrainian municipal partnership network, focusing on opportunities for municipal cooperation in Ukraine’s reconstruction.
One of the key topics discussed was the creation of a knowledge and information base to optimize the work of local governments and enhance collaborative efforts in rebuilding Ukraine.
Representatives from Ukrainian communities also emphasized that international cooperation plays a crucial role in implementing recovery plans. Viktoriia Agientaieva, the director of the City Development Institute of Zaporizhzhia, among others, presented her ideas on how German partner cities could contribute to the recovery process.
We take pride in our close communication with our German sister cities, Magdeburg and Oberhausen. Thanks to their support, we can implement initiatives in medicine, city recovery, and education. We have high hopes for future projects that will help prepare our community leaders and businesses to collaborate for the success and prosperity of our cities.
