Highlights from the 26.03.2024 meeting of the working group on community safety and recovery

On March 26, 2024, a meeting of the working group on community security and recovery in Zaporizhzhia was held as part of the UNDP project.

The following topics were discussed during the meeting:

• Progress in implementing recovery programs for five communities in the Zaporizhzhia region.
• Outcomes of the Zaporizhzhia Recovery Forum and the practical application of the expert recommendations outlined in the Green Book of Recovery.
• Development of Vision 2030 and a post-war recovery strategy for Zaporizhzhia.
• Participation in the national forum “Government and Community: A Shared Path to Community Safety and Recovery. Insights from the South.”
• Progress in implementing the project “WE ARE NOT ALONE,” aimed at assisting families of Ukrainian military personnel and civilians who have gone missing under special circumstances.
• A meeting between staff of the City Development Institute of Zaporizhzhia and representatives from NGOs, the police, and the State Emergency Service.
