The city of Zaporizhzhia begins cooperation with the Shelter Cluster

The new partners will help to repair houses that were damaged because of Russian missile strikes.

The Shelter and Non-Food Items (SNFI) Cluster, led by the UNHCR, consists of around one hundred Ukrainian charitable foundations and NGOs that provide emergency shelter support and housing repairs throughout Ukraine.

While visiting Zaporizhzhia, SNFI’s representatives met with Anatolii Kurtiev, acting mayor, and Viktoriia Agientaieva, director of the City Development Institute of Zaporizhzhia, to discuss the housing needs of our community.

Later this year, the Cluster plans to attract partner organizations and help with repairs in Zaporizhzhia’s houses with minor or medium damages.

To first step of cooperation will be entering information about the damaged houses into the SIDAR Cluster platform. It is a database that enables the coordination of partner organizations performing housing repairs.
