Key outcomes of UK-Med’s work in Zaporizhzhia for the first half of 2025
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, UK-Med Ukraine has been a reliable partner of Zaporizhzhia, providing medical care, psychosocial support, and professional training for local specialists.
In the first half of 2025, cooperation with UK-Med brought significant results:
- more than UAH 9.9 million in donor assistance was provided for hospitals, medical centers, and humanitarian initiatives;
- 341 surgical operations were carried out with the participation of international specialists;
- 118 training sessions were organized for 1,650 participants, including doctors, nurses, psychologists, and representatives of municipal services;
- UK-Med mobile teams made 286 trips to frontline communities, providing 6,449 medical and 4,020 psychological consultations;
- health risk awareness sessions were held for 3,267 people, including internally displaced persons and vulnerable groups.
The UK-Med team places special emphasis on supporting local medical personnel, offering training in emergency care, psychological assistance, trauma response, infection control, and non-communicable disease management. These trainings provide not only knowledge but also practical tools that save lives during wartime.
