Developing Vision 2030 for Zaporizhzhia: the third workshop with working groups

The City Development Institute of Zaporizhzhia participated in the third workshop with working groups to develop the Vision of Zaporizhzhia 2030.

Vision 2030 is a strategic document outlining the development prospects of Zaporizhzhia during and after the war. The Ro3kvit Urban Coalition provides professional support in developing this crucial document using modern methods and tools.

At the most recent workshop, participants discussed project ideas that could form the basis for city development scenarios. The teams worked on various aspects of urban development, including environmental, economic, social, and spatial ones. Using the World Café methodology and interactive sessions, they drafted clear visions and strategies for Zaporizhzhia’s development until 2030.

It is particularly inspiring that Zaporizhzhia is ready to recover despite its proximity to the front line. The city shows great potential for cross-sectoral development in all areas, aiming to become a promising tourist, industrial, ecological, youthful, and comfortable city.

The Vision of Zaporizhzhia 2030 is being developed at the request and under the guidance of the Zaporizhzhia City Council, with coordination support from the City Development Institute of Zaporizhzhia and expert support from the Ro3kvit: Urban Coalition for Ukraine.

This project is supported by the International Renaissance Foundation and the Strengthening Urban Resilience in Ukraine project implemented by GIZ GmbH.
