Zaporizhzhia leads in progress among 100 cities in Transparency Rating 2024
Zaporizhzhia has made a record leap in the Transparency Rating 2024, regaining the status of a “partially transparent” city.
The city’s transparency score rose from 35.7% to 63% — the largest increase among 100 Ukrainian communities. With this result, Zaporizhzhia now ranks 12th, well above the national average of 41.6%. The city has been recognized for its openness, response to wartime challenges, and active engagement with residents.
Key achievements include:
- publishing information on protective structures, supporting the work of the IDP Council, and providing updated data for veterans and businesses;
- updating the Community Development Strategy and action plan, along with transparent reporting on humanitarian aid;
- publishing decisions of local authorities, as well as videos of meetings, plans, and reports;
- conducting electronic surveys, introducing online services, and reporting on citizens’ appeals.
