One more step towards the 2030 Vision of Zaporizhzhia: Memorandum with Ro3kvit

We are glad to announce an important step in our collaboration with the expert community from Ro3kvit: Urban Coalition for Ukraine — the signing of an official memorandum.

This memorandum further deepens cooperation between the City Council and the Ro3kvit Coalition and declares the common commitment of the parties to creating a better, more inclusive, and comfortable Zaporizhzhia.

The Vision of Zaporizhzhia 2030 is a strategic document aimed at determining the sustainable future of the city during and after the war. While the City Council initiated its development, the Ro3kvit Urban Coalition provides expert support to local specialists to ensure the use of modern methods and participation tools.

Fulco Treffers, a Dutch architect and co-founder of the Ro3kvit Coalition, and his team are confident in the great potential of Zaporizhzhia. Their expertise, sincere interest, and love for this territory contribute to the development of the new Vision of the city, both at the level of its form and senses.

As part of the collaboration, the Ro3kvit team helps to facilitate public and expert dialogues, focusing on every aspect of the city’s future. By now, there are four groups approved by the Mayor’s Decree that work together to envision Zaporizhzhia 2030, analyze the current situation in the city, identify main challenges, and offer solutions to overcome them. These intersectoral groups involve specialists and activists from various fields: ecology, culture, local economy, mobility, sports, education, infrastructure, security and protection, digitalization, etc.
