New ambulance arrived in Zaporizhzhia from Poland
Zaporizhzhia received another modern ambulance thanks to our foreign friends and partners. A fully equipped vehicle will replenish the ambulance fleet of City Hospital No. 9.
It is the second time that Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland, has helped to strengthen the medical system of our frontline city. In December 2022, the partners already donated an ambulance and helped deliver it to Zaporizhzhia, where it was handed over to City Hospital No. 8.
Both times, ambulances were provided by a local hospital, Wojewódzki Szpital Specjalistyczny im J. Korczaka w Słupsku.
The new vehicle will be used to transport patients between medical facilities for examinations and treatment. Doctors assure this will make the whole diagnostic and therapeutic way faster and more comfortable for people who need medical attention. In addition, after signing the relevant agreement with the National Health Service of Ukraine next year, the ambulance will be used in the work of mobile palliative care teams.
City Development Institute of Zaporizhzhia thanks Mr. Mieczysław Struk, Marshal of the Pomeranian Voivodeship, and Ms. Wioletta Dymarska from the International Cooperation Department of the Marshal’s Office, for their great assistance in delivering a life-saving transport to our city.
