NRC Ukraine provides urgent aid to families affected by rocket attack
Following the most recent rocket attack on Zaporizhzhia, NRC Ukraine identified individuals to receive aid as part of the humanitarian program implemented in collaboration with the USAID’s Bureau of Humanitarian Assistance (BHA).
A total of 115 families (263 people) will receive assistance for urgent repairs to houses damaged by attacks or for the purchase of necessary household items. Local authorities and specialists of the city council helped to gather the data about affected families.
As a reminder, a massive missile attack on January 8 caused damage to 19 apartment buildings and 14 private houses. Additionally, two educational institutions were also affected.
The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) operates in 40 countries worldwide. In Ukraine, it has been present since 2014, involving both international and national staff. The NRC Ukraine’s eastern area office covers Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kharkiv, and Donetsk regions.
