Local Development Forum: Discussing public safety and recovery processes in Zaporizhzhia

The ‘Public Safety and Recovery’ dialogue platform is uniting local communities to drive sustainable development in Zaporizhzhia.

On October 2, a regional forum brought together representatives from regional authorities, local communities, volunteer groups, and charitable organizations to discuss ways to restore and enhance the region. This collaborative meeting highlighted a shared commitment to addressing the city’s most pressing challenges.

Maria Kuznetsova, a manager at the City Development Institute of Zaporizhzhia, was among the participants. Together with partners, she joined topical discussions focused on crucial social issues such as integrating internally displaced persons (IDPs), supporting veterans, and ensuring environmental safety.

Key Objectives of the Forum:

  • Establishing a platform for open dialogue between authorities and the public.
  • Sharing successful experiences in public safety and social cohesion.
  • Shaping strategies for social mobilization and collaboration with international organizations.

This forum marks a significant step in building a stronger, more resilient Zaporizhzhia. We are grateful for the chance to work together to create a brighter future for our city.
