FHI 360’s humanitarian assistance response in Zaporizhzhia

During this year, the FHI 360 team has been actively working in Zaporizhzhia. FHI 360 is a non-profit human development organization that operates in over 70 countries worldwide, providing support to hospitals and helping protect the health of populations.

FHI 360’s activities in Zaporizhzhia are focused on strengthening the city’s healthcare system and providing social support for vulnerable people. The partners supply hygiene kits for affected families and conduct training sessions for local therapists and medics.

In the future, the partnership aims to expand educational programs for healthcare workers and provide training for citizens.

Another potential area of cooperation involves leveraging the expertise of an FHI 360 psychologist in the day-to-day operations of the city’s social support department for military personnel and their families. These topics were discussed by City Council officials and Ms. Jessica Carlson, the FHI 360 field coordinator, during her monitoring visit to Zaporizhzhia.
