Oberhausen handed over four ambulances for hospitals in Zaporizhzhia
Four ambulances – this is another highly esteemed contribution from Oberhausen to strengthen the medical infrastructure in frontline Zaporizhzhia.
The vehicles have already joined the fleet of City Hospitals No. 7, No. 8, No. 1, and Maternity Hospital No. 9, where they help provide prompt medical care for patients.
The donation was made after the City Development Institute of Zaporizhzhia (CDIZ) launched a campaign “Ambulances for Zaporizhzhia” earlier this year. As soon as it became possible, the German municipality transferred much-needed medical transport to Ukraine. Viktoriia Agientaieva, the director of CDIZ, visited Oberhausen in November to attend a handover ceremony and thank our partners.
This is not the first time Oberhausen has extended a helping hand to its twin city. To learn more about German assistance to Zaporizhzhia, please refer to the presentation.
